Psychodynamic therapy encourages self discovery. A person-centered psychodynamic therapist is interested in your foundational experiences, and how you experience the world. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a psychodynamic model which aims to help people identify and accept the different parts of themselves and heal the parts that are wounded. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a structured method to address trauma and is considered the gold standard for PTSD. Sessions are booked via the online booking system available to current clients.
Your therapist will welcome you to the session and inquire about your state, or any issues you wish to discuss. Clients are encouraged to follow their impulses while we explore their insights to find the hidden meaning in their experience. Processing work may come up organically, or may be driven by the client or the therapist. IFS therapy focuses on past experiences including childhood experiences. We work to understand how your past experiences may be influencing your present. Sessions are 50 minutes and are held online. EMDR sessions are prearrange and are typically 80 minutes.
